Meet at Live Oak Park in Manhattan Beach (on Valley Drive between 16th and 21st) parking near 21st.
Directions:
From 405 south: Exit west on Rosecrans about 1.5 miles, turn left on Sepulveda and right at next opportunity onto Valley Drive for about 1 mile. Park in diagonal parking on east side of street adjacent to parkway near 21st.
From 405 north: Exit on Inglewood Blvd south for ¼ mile then right onto Manhattan Beach Blvd for about 2.3 miles. Turn right onto Valley Drive for about ¾ mile to the north end of Live Oak Park near 21st and park on right.
Restrooms are available near baseball fields at Live Oak Park, along the beach and at Veterans Park.
We will walk south along Valley Drive to 17th then turn right/west for a few blocks to the Strand paved walkway (or sand if preferred). Turn left/south through Manhattan Beach (may include the pier), Hermosa Beach, past Herondo via Hopkins Way, left onto Marina Way, then right on Harbor Drive (may visit aquarium near Chart House or marina to inspect boats).
When Harbor Drive veers left/east continue south via parking lots to Redondo pier and one block farther to Veterans Park where there are picnic tables for lunch. After lunch retrace route to Live Oak Park.
